We are a thirty-plus year old 501-C3 Christian non-profit organization run by a family of 11, nine children with mom and dad, the Giannellis.  After introducing our children to the game of tennis 12 years ago and then getting involved with competitive tennis a few years later, we have seen and enjoyed the positive effect it has had on each of our lives.  Our family plans to make tennis a major part of our lives for many years to come. We have grown to appreciate greatly the benefits of tennis, the positive effects that it has on life in general, and the blessing that it can be to an entire community. We know that God has given us the vision of growing the game in our town, and we want to do all we can to build a strong faith-filled tennis community here.

  We are located in Moncks Corner, a city just outside of Charleston, South Carolina. While tennis is a popular sport within the Greater Charleston area, there are very few courts and currently no true hard or clay court facility right here in Moncks Corner for public use, instruction, or competitive events. Our dream is to build a 36-court facility on our 48 acre property. While this is our ultimate goal, we have already started having clinics with the courts we have at our residence. We installed these courts with the intended purpose of offering tennis instruction to the youth and adults of our community. We offer inexpensive clinics, camps, and private lessons. Our mission is to provide an atmosphere where families can improve their physical health and spiritual well-being while taking part in a great lifetime sport enjoyable for all ages through recreation and/or competition.

We're not just teaching tennis, but also changing lives. Open Door Ministries Sports & Wellness Center can be the answer for those families seeking a healthier lifestyle and children needing a positive outlet. We aim to be a safe environment for families to gather for fun and bonding, children to build self-confidence that can carry them through life, and a place where all can receive encouragement, inspiration, and assistance through prayer and ministry.
